Order among this inevitably changing world is at the tip of my finger, with a brush, a pencil, paper, objects. For as long as I can remember I was captivated by the creation process. The subject matter I choose for a piece must have the ability to hold my interest as this decision will transform the final result. Preservation of memory and transient view points or moments are an important part of the selection process. In the formation of the composition the dance of the eye moving through the space is a continuous challenge for me. Variations in marks, dabbling patterns or compositional layouts are part of the visceral presence. Each day, or subject, brings forth a different set of marks. Everything I do as an artist and designer is influenced by history, the people that surround me, my environment, my family, my faith in God and his beautiful creation.
