Koree’s entry into entrepreneurship wasn’t meticulously planned. “When I first talked to you,” Koree recalled, “I didn’t know what I was doing. Like many of us, Koree’s entrepreneurial journey has included seasons of intense growth and unexpected detours. A pivotal moment came in 2023, when Koree’s mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. At the time, Koree was poised to scale her business in a big way. But life had other plans.
“I felt like the rug got pulled out from under me,” Koree shared. “I went into survival mode.” Suddenly, business growth took a backseat as she prioritized caregiving, navigating her family through uncharted territory.
What followed was a profound shift in perspective. Koree stripped her business down to its core—working only with the clients who aligned with her values and offered mutual support during a deeply challenging time. “I had to redefine what success looked like,” she said. “Success wasn’t about hitting aggressive goals anymore. It was about creating a sustainable, life-giving business that allowed me to be present for my family.”
Navigating the Role of Caregiver and Business Owner
In addition to running her business, Koree stepped into the role of caregiver, helping her parents move closer to her family to better support her mom’s needs. “It was a hard decision, but the right one,” she said.

Faith has been Koree’s anchor. “There are blessings in disguise along the way,” she said. “Even in the messy middle, there’s beauty to be found.”
What’s Next for Koree
Looking ahead, Koree is embracing a new season—one defined by flexibility and authenticity. She’s excited about showing up more openly, sharing her story, and walking alongside other entrepreneurs navigating hard seasons.
“My business might go back into a growth season someday, but for now, I’m focused on alignment,” she said. “I want my work to be life-giving, both for me and the people I support.”
